![]() I liked it and preferred this muzzle brake over theīW-347 flash hider. This is a fantastic muzzle brake for your AK-47. Some people might be upset by this, but I do not consider it a big deal. This is because of the design and it's not something you should worry about. If you don't have to worry about thread protectors, you may notice that the muzzle brake is a little loose. If you have a Clinton era AK-47, you will want to know how to remove the thread protector. However, the AK-47 can be a bit wild and unruly without a muzzle brake. This means that you can fire it once, and then it will automatically reload so you can fire it again. Pros of the Barwarus - STORM-47 AK-47 Muzzle Brake The high-temperature powder coating on the exterior of the muzzle brake looks great and doesn't show any wear even after firing it for over an hour. I noticed a big difference in how easily I could shoot successive shots with the muzzle brake on, as compared to when it was off. This reduces the recoil that you feel and also makes it easier to shoot consecutive shots. This muzzle brake helps keep your rifle from jumping up when you fire it. This was included following the requirements of the Special Rapid Deployment Forces Unit. If you put a wire through the notches and fire a single shot, it will cut the wire. There are notches on each side of the muzzle brake that are designed to cut wires. This is designed to let any extra gas escape before the bullet leaves. The last ports on the muzzle brake are angled slightly upward and are much larger than the other ports. This allows you to fire your rifle more consistently and quickly. These gills push the gas back towards you, which reduces how much recoil you feel. After the ports, there are two gills on either side of the muzzle brake. I would buy it again if I get another AK rifle. It's not going to win any beauty contests for sure but this muzzle brake does the job. But I was surprised my 50 yard iron sight zero (POI) shifted about 5" low and 1.2" to the left with this TMB. So far I've shot about 120 rounds with the new TMB and I do notice a slight decrease in muzzle rise and recoil. No I'm not going to do the O-ring or key-ring mod to it LOL. I do plan to file the bottom of the muzzle device to eliminate this wobble issue. The stock slant brake that came with my PSAK-47 also had a slight wobble to it. I understand this is fairly common on most AK's so I wasn't surprised at that. It needs to go another 2/3 turn for a tight fit. Installation on my PSAK-47 is straightforward but there is a slight wobble as it does not completely sit flush against the front sight post assembly of my rifle. I purchased this Tapco Muzzle Break on 3/5/18 and it arrived at my doorstep on 3/14/18.
